Nothing better than a house full of puppies making trouble. They literally run till they pass out. Our Gunnar was the only foster I’ve ever encountered that never went through any of the normal puppy phases. To be honest, I thought something was wrong with him. Now that he’s part of the famly, we know he just marches to his own drummer…or whatever strange instrument that plays in his head.
Fortunately our cats weren’t big into knocking things off the counters. I think that’s because they spent most of their day outside. They were generally too tired for indoor mischief.
I don’t have any window lickers but I have a house full of cabinet lickers.
Now I will say our Weezy does a decent job at organizing her stuff. She has toys for downstairs, toys for outside and toys for bed upstairs. I’ve never encountered a dog like her before. I like to think because of her horrible beginnings, she never got to be a puppy. She appreciates every toy she gets. I mean she makes her favorite toys last!
We only have one shnurbler now. Little miss Wezzy can mess up some sheets. Our Gunnar is a pillow pup. He’ll sleep on the hard floor as long as he has a pillow under his head.
When my son got older I thought the days of toy littered floors were over. Three dogs and two cats means those days will never be gone.
As you can tell, Star Trek the Next Generation is my Star Trek.

With all my dogs and my fosters, I offer ice cubes and carrots for snacks. I’ve only had a handful of fur babies that love them.
In full disclosure I superimposed my doughnut addiction onto Sophie. Her obsession was cheese.
In retrospect, this playpen is way too small.
