Paws & Panic! Dog Eat Doug Uncovers Cat-tastic Caper in Cellar
I always love drawing monsters in the basement. Although the cats have graduated from the cellar to a secret underground base with hidden elevators and fusion reactors.

I’m fascinated by the topic of cloning wooly mammoths. Obviously the ethic of it are an entire other subject. But the genreral idea is captivating. You completely get Dr. Hammond’s obsession in Jurrasic Park. Of course, when I started follwoing the subject, my first thought was, “this is something cats would do.”
We’ve had a few tablecloth close calls in our time.
Some dogs bark from day one. Some dogs take a while rto disocver their bark. Their reactions are priceless! Some don’t think twice. It happens and they move on, barking at everything. Some aren’t sure where it came from.
I’ve had a few foster pups that I thought were mute. Then one day they belt out a woof that knocks them on their tails.
Would never have thought I would write so many spit and drool gags until I had kids and dogs.
In retrospect, this playpen is way too small.
I’ve always loved drawing Sophie and Doug tooling around in a toy car. My son never had one of the motorized ones but I can make up whatever I want for the comic. OF course it had to be a Mustang.
I love channeling some Edgar Allan Poe through the cats.
Dragon Doug makes a return in “Sophie", book two. Along with a Monty Python foster dog adventure. There’s a sample of that story on the home page. I’ll get some colored pages up soon.
One of my favorites. Also, the “I like shorts” line is an easter egg from some cartoon, and now I can’t remmeber. Anyone recognize it?
Thankfully we’ve never had any picky eaters in our house. Still, it’s funny to contemplate that what your baby is asking for is something much more sophisticated than something a baby would ask for. Then again, who doesn’t want grated cheese?
They know all and hear all. And of course with dogs, they smell all.
Building blocks are not only endless fun for kids, they’re an endless supply of plots for comics too.
Oh the joy of squeaky toys.
This is why Sophie could never be a cult leader.
A little plug to our local doughnut shop.
Ya, this was a thing even before the Tik Tok trend.
Techinaclly Sophie never got all the way in the highchair with my son. She came pretty close though.
Sophie would have been on high alert if it had been a package of hot dogs.
We all know a few people like this.
